DOXOLOGY & THEOLOGY CONFERENCE:
THE WORD OF GOD IN WORSHIP
The worship of God should be built upon, shaped by, and saturated with scripture. To this end, we will be hosting the first Doxology & Theology worship conference on November 1-3, 2012 at Providence Church in Frisco, TX. Our emphasis will be “The Word of God in Worship”

This conference will be specifically geared for worship leaders who have a desire to more fully understand the role and function of scripture in worship through a biblical lens. This would also be a great conference to bring your entire worship team.
We will have a special track for worship leaders of church plants through breakout sessions, and panel discussions with worship leaders who have planted churches.
We also encourage you to bring your pastor and your entire worship ministry to come and learn together to help maximize the impact of the conference.

Bob Kauflin traveled with the Christian group GLAD for eight years as a songwriter and arranger before becoming a pastor with Sovereign Grace Ministries in 1985. He is now the director of worship development for Sovereign Grace, overseeing its music projects and teaching on congregational worship. He blogs at worshipmatters.com and hosts the biennial WorshipGod conference. He and his wife, Julie, have six children and an ever-growing number of grandchildren.
Matt Chandler was born near Seattle and, due to growing up with a father in the military, moved several times before settling in the Houston area. Though he attended church during his childhood and adolescence, he did not truly know and follow Jesus until he turned 17. He went to Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where he received a bachelor’s degree in Bible. While at Hardin-Simmons, he was on staff at Beltway Park Church. In 2002, he became pastor of First Baptist Church of Highland Village, now known as The Village Church. In 1999, he married his wife, Lauren, and they now have three children.
Matt Papa is a minister and Christian recording artist based out of Raleigh, North Carolina where he lives with his wife, Lauren, and two daughters, Paisley and Stella. He serves on staff as a worship leader at The Summit Church in Durham and is currently finishing a masters degree at Southeastern Seminary. For over a decade, Matt has been writing and recording songs that are saturated with God’s Word. To Papa, a song is more than just lyrics and melody – it’s a sermon people will remember. At the heart of Papa’s ministry is a vision to see the nations worship Jesus; and to that end, Matt radically leverages his life, his ministry, and his music.
Aaron Ivey has been leading worship, writing songs, and creating music since college. Aaron hopes that worship involves living out faith through action, as well as singing songs. as well as leading worship across the country, Aaron is also one of the worship leaders at The Austin Stone in Austin, Texas. when they are not on the road, Aaron and the guys can be found leading and serving the local church in Austin. besides music, he is passionate about adoption, the country and people of Haiti, and his family.
Matt Boswell has been leading worship and writing songs for the church for over 17 years. His passion is to see congregations led and engaged in gospel-centered worship, and in this environment live out the great commission. He serves as the worship pastor at Providence Church in Frisco, TX and also a student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jamie, have three small children and another on the way.
Michael Bleecker is passionate about leading others in song — in spirit and in truth – that displays the infinite beauty and worth of God. After 15 years of doing so, he continues to plead with others to walk humbly and seek Truth. Since 2003 he has served as the worship pastor of The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas. He loves being married to his wife, Faith, and being a dad to their three sons, Evan, Jude and Beau.
Stephen Miller is a pastor and artist who strives to enlarge people’s view of God with the truth of Scripture and artfully give a vocabulary and vehicle to express thankfulness and praise to Him. He serves as worship leader alongside pastor Darrin Patrick at The Journey St Louis and travels with his band to lead worship all over the world. Believing that songs alone are insufficient to express our love for God, and are in fact our smallest expression of worship, Stephen is adamant that worship is a lifestyle expressed through mercy, justice and compassion. He is a passionate advocate for orphans, and serves as a Compassion International artist, who he has partnered with for the past 4 years to help rescue children out of poverty in Jesus name.
